Activist and poet Judith Arcana passed away on Saturday, December 20, at age 82. She had a monthly program on KBOO titled, "Poetry and Everything,"  beginning in 2016. She was an author, poet and reproductive rights warrior. A member of the famous Jane Collective in Chicago which performed underground abortions pre-Roe. She was featured in at least three documentaries: The Janes, She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry, and also in Our Bodies, Our Doctors. She published many essays, poems, and short stories. As well as a literary biography of Grace Paley.
