Fifteen hundred Palestinians have entered their fourth week of hunger strike. They are demanding better conditions in Israeli prisons, including family visits and an end to the practice of holding prisoners indefinitely without charges.

In a statement of solidarity, a group of prisoners in immigration prisons in Washington state who held a three week hunger strike last month say that they see the same systems of oppression, colonization and racism at play in Palestine and the US.

KBOO’s Jenka Soderberg spoke with Maru Mora Villapondo with the Northwest Detention Center Resistance Movement for more.
