Cowboy music is at the heart of this episode of Swing’n’Country. After a recent encounter with a small herd of Texas Longhorns between Salem and Grand Ronde, I think cows are pretty cool. So in this show, my favorite song is Corb Lund’s "Cows Around". The song was requested in Live Chat last month.
Otherwise there are many other country style songs worthy of a listen. Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell recorded a duet of John Hartford’s "Gentle on My Mind," (1968). "Ring of Fire" from Johnny Cash (1963) and Marty Robbins’ "Devil Woman" (1962) were both at the top on the listening charts. That’s just three of the more than fifty songs in this three-hour country music program.
Please take a listen and like what you like Saturday morning on Swing’n’Country. Live Chat will be open at 7:30 on the station website, you can tell me what you think. Thanks.
