Juneteenth Special: a conversation with N.K. Jemisin

N.K. Jemisin is the first black writer to win Science Fiction & Fantasy's most prestigious prize, the Hugo Award, for best novel.  And Jemisin is the first writer ever, in the history of the genre, to win the Hugo Award for best novel three consecutive times.  She has been hailed by everyone from Neil Gaiman to John Scalzi as one of the most important contemporary writers and thinkers in the field, with Wired Magazine calling her the finest writer of the fantastic writing today, and the worthiest successor to the great Ursula K. Le Guin.  Jemisin joins host David Naimon today for this special program to discuss her new book of urban fantasy, The City We Became, a book about a battle for the soul of a city against the tentacled homogenizing forces of Whiteness.
