We bring in the new year with a tribute to long time KBOO supporter, friend, comrade, and mentor Michael Wells. Michael was a former host of the Dawn Concert, which aired on KBOO in the 70s and 80s. Michael has been staff, board, and volunteer at KBOO, and always a listener and supporter.


Michael passed away unexpectedly July 5, 2017 while hiking in the Dolomites in Italy. He was serving on the KBOO 50th Anniversary planning committee, and we kick off our 50th anniversary year with Michael in our hearts. 

Dawn Concert will be hosted by Jonathan Potkin, Becky Meiers, and Erin Yanke.
