Updated Thursday, August 10.

If there were just one event to go to this week (and there are many many great events this week), it would be the Rally for Freedom, Solidarity and Justice on Sunday, Battleship Oregon Memorial Marine Park, 250 SW Naito Pkwy & Pine.

Remember June 4th? This is a counter rally to that same group, who are having a "Freedom March." Since the June rally, they've provoked violence at the Trans Pride march, and staged a violent "Freedom March."

As the organizer writes, "this is not an isolated group. Rather, they represent an emboldening of the right-wing across this country, whose rhetoric and actions have been supported by an openly racist, misogynist, bigoted administration in the White House... make no mistake, their plan is to instill fear and attack Portland’s Immigrant, Muslim, Jewish, Indigenous, Black and LGBTQ+ communities.

"We are gathering in solidarity with communities who are under attack and calling on activists and concerned residents to join a peaceful mass mobilization on the Portland waterfront, in front of the Battleship Oregon Memorial (SW Pine) on Sunday, August 6th at 1:30 pm. We must continue to show up to prove that Portland stands united and will not tolerate white nationalism in any of its guises."

This week has over 70 events, and there's something for everyone who is against what the current administration stands for.

As usual, there is a downloadable printable event list attached, and the links go to a non-Facebook calendar with more information.

And, as usual, thanks to Ismoon who makes this podcast possible, and to Joe Frazier, who takes fantastic photos (and lets us use them).
