Annie Hartnett Visits Powells City of Books Thursday 3/23

Annie Hartnett is a writer from the east coast who loves displaying the contrasts between light and dark in her work. She’s also a fanatic for animals and animal customs. She was the 2013 2014 winner of the Writer in Residence Fellowship for Associates of the Boston Public Library and is climbing the book selling charts for her book Rabbit Cake, with the lead character Elvis Babbit and her mother the Sleep-Swimmer. Annie Hartnett is coming to Portland this Thursday at Powells at 7pm and KBOO’s Zeloszelos Marchandt spoke with them this afternoon about graveyards and cakes that no one wants.
