
We will be joined this Monday by representatives from the Portland Gray Panthers.
Among the topics we will explore is the lack of adequate low-income and affordable housing in Oregon, as well as current and upcoming projects of the organization. Portland Gray Panthers describes itself as " an independent, not-for-profit organization. As a movement for social justice, we are a voice for all, especially low-income, elderly, and disabled Oregonians. We engage in educational campaigns, grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and other activities in the arenas of Social Security Reform; Medicare, Medicaid, and advocacy for Universal Healthcare; Long-term Care and Nursing Homes; Housing; Food Security; and Elder Safety; Portland Gray Panthers Social Justice concerns include Gun Violence, Housing and Homelessness; Climate Justice; and Civil and Voting Rights. Current Portland Gray Panthers Campaigns and Projects include the Walmart Boycott Against Gun Violence, Ongoing monthly Political and Community Forums, and a Maggie Kuhn Postage Stamp Project."
