Music of Anthony Braxton and Terry Riley
Braxton the astonishing composer, improvisor, saxophonist, with over 200 recordings spanning sixty years; Riley the beautifully creative organizer, keyboard player, minimalist, with but a handful of landmark compositions. And so why not just mash them up for the evening. Outside jazz, electric harpsichords, strangely tuned guitars, very very (very) large saxophones, marimbas, singers, bugles, pipas, string quartets, organs, laptops, a veritable circus of modern music.
