As the Trump administration seeks to dehumanize, terrorize and criminalize our immigrant communities, organizations are mobilizing in solidarity to protect and empower people targeted by ICE, U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement. Host Karen James speaks with Karla Castañeda, Executive Director, Voz Workers’ Rights Education Project. Voz is a worker-led organization that helps improve day laborers and immigrants working conditions and protect civil rights. Voz recently organized a caravan to the NW Detention Processing Center in Tacoma, Washington, to call for the release of asylum-seeker Jorge Luis who is being detained at the facility.
