Electronic Processing Special

Our program will explore how musicians are using electronic processing as part of performance. These will be mostly solo artists with their various laptops and circuit boards: Liz Albee, Emil Karlsen, Franz Hautzinger, Sudhu Tewari, Helene Breschand, and Lucas Niggli. BONUS: George Lewis (a jazz trombonist and now modern opera composer) developed his own “Voyager” interactive software. We’ll feature a “duet” with Lewis, Roscoe Mitchell (saxophone) and Voyager on electric piano!
