We speak with Aida Salazar about her book, The Moon Within. The Moon Within is a coming-of-age story told in verse that explores the themes of first love, first periods, and gender identity. Aida Salazar wrote Moon Within, out of the desire to provide a positive menstruation narrative for her daughter's generation.
