IRCO SUN Community Schools is sponsoring four free community screenings of “Papers” the movie, a story of undocumented youth and the challenges they face as they turn 18 without legal status. There are approximately 2 million undocumented children who were born outside the U.S. and raised in this country. The first screenings will take place TONIGHT, 6:30 pm at Madison High School, located at 2735 NE 82nd Ave in Portland.  More information at 503-916-5338.

The Tigard Public Library will host Portland State University geology professor Scott Burns for a program about the ice-age Missoula floods that carved out the Columbia Gorge. The program will be held TONIGHT, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room, located at 13500 SW Hall Blvd in Tigard.  Scott Burns is the co-author of a new book about the catastrophic floods that inundated the state during the last ice age and shaped much of our region. On Saturday, April 24th, help bring the Cully neighborhood’s dream for a soccer park one step closer to reality! Volunteers are needed to transform this recently-acquired industrial property into a family-friendly park.
