IRCO SUN Community Schools is sponsoring four free community screenings of “Papers” the movie, a story of undocumented youth and the challenges they face as they turn 18 without legal status. There are approximately 2 million undocumented children who were born outside the U.S. and raised in this country. The Tigard Public Library will host Portland State University geology professor Scott Burns for a program about the ice-age Missoula floods that carved out the Columbia Gorge. The program will be held TONIGHT, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room, located at 13500 SW Hall Blvd in Tigard. Scott Burns is the co-author of a new book about the catastrophic floods that inundated the state during the last ice age and shaped much of our region.
