Guess Who's Coming to Radio??!! on 07/26/12
in light of the recent police shootings of an unarmed person in anaheim, california, as well as the detaining of four black males (for over an hour!) and raids (with some grenades thrown) in homes (at the hands of the FBI, local police and the joint terrorism task force) in portland, oregon, seattle and olympia, washington; the police are becoming more and more unruly- or is it that we are only now able to see the increase due to technology?
with this technology, are we able to have a productive mode of police accountability? or does police accountability even exist? with the increase in reports of police terrorism (and the militaristic behaviour which accompanies it) why are we, as a population, still apt to contact the police as opposed to developing pro-active alternative methods to secure ourselves?
