The Vancouver Folk Singers will have a pot luck and sing-along on Saturday, February 5, at the Genealogical Society annex, located at 715 Grand Blvd in Vancouver.  The potluck will start at 6:15 PM and singing will commence around 7 PM.  For further info call 360-883-3030

An immunization clinic is planned to help students get up to date on all immunizations required by the State of Oregon.  Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to children with no health insurance or whose insurance does not cover the cost of immunizations.

The clinic is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, at the Providence Milwaukie Healing Place, located at 10330 SE 32nd Ave. in Milwaukie. Spanish and Russian interpreters will be available and no appointments will be taken.  Participants are encouraged to bring their child's immunization records.  For more information, call 503-513-8386.

This weekend check out some free movies at the Cascade Festival of African Films.  In honor of Black History Month, Portland Community College is offering up a batch of the best, recent African films at select cinemas throughout north and northeast Portland. The festival is FREE and is this Friday through Sunday at The Hollywood Theatre, The Kennedy School, and the Cascade Campus of PCC.  For more information go to African film festival dot org

Next Saturday morning at Tryon Creek State Park. You are invited to help with invasive species removal in this wonderful urban protected nature area.   Please dress for the weather and bring your own water.
