Music for the Working-Class

Joe Clement, a member of the Industrial Workers of the World, talks with three other Wobblies - Noah, Tomás & Ash - about Music for the Working-Class, a labor-themed music event with scheduled performances and sing-alongs. It happens every last Wednesday of the month at the Red and Black Cafe. Organized and led by the Portland Branch of the IWW, the event turns one year old this month on the 28th. A year ago, when it started, Old Mole Laurie Mercier interviewed Noah and two different members. This time, they about how the year has been and the IWW's unique approach to labor organizing and the use of music.
