Community Radio Station in California Faces Large Cuts
The Pacifica Foundation has proposed large cuts to the staff of California community radio station KPFA. Pacifica is the oldest independant community radio network in the country, plans to turn many staff positions into volunteer positions. Staff members and management at KPFA are protesting the planned layoffs.
KBOO Evening News spoke live on the air with Christina Huggins, who is representing the station.
