Timothy Scott Dalbow

Timothy Scott Dalbow has an interesting show up at the New American Art Union called “I Don’t Know Anyone in Paris.” The artist moved into the space, using it as his studio, painting mostly at night. On the opening night, there was only a big white, bare canvas, a couple of rockers lined up as if they were to view the ocean, some small ink drawings and signs of preparation and anticipation.

Linda Tesner on "What is a Trade?"

Listen to the interview here.

At the Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery at Lewis and Clark is "What is a Trade?" Artist Donald Fels collaborated with Indian sign painters to create an exhibition of large scale paintings about trade in India. The panels have all the intense colors and graphics we expect from sign painters. This particular art form is dying out as computers and inkject printing are taking over. Every piece tells a different story. Curator Linda Tesner will be my guest on KBOO tomorrow to talk about the show.
