SUNNYSIDE STUDENTS LAUNCH DONATION DRIVE FOR JAPANESE EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Sunnyside Elementary School's Student Council has organized a donation drive to help assist Medical Teams International with their disaster relief work to help victims of the earthquake in Japan.
They are seeking donations of money, personal care items, or learning kits by April 11.  Items can be delivered to the school, located at 13401 SE 132nd Ave. in Clackamas.  Checks can be made out to Sunnyside School.
To donate a Personal Care Kit, fill a gallon zip storage bag with these items:
-- 2 combs &/or brushes
-- 2 large bars of soap or 6-8 hotel-sized bars
-- 2 new washcloths in different colors
-- 3 adult-sized toothbrushes in different colors
-- 3 child-sized toothbrushes in different colorsAdd:  1 large tube of toothpaste or 4 travel-sized tubes. (Do not put this in the bag).
To donate a Learning Kit, fill a jumbo (14 x 16 inch) storage bag with these items:
-- 6-8 pencils
-- 1-2 pencil sharpeners
-- 1 package colored pencils (8 to 12)

These kits will be sent to children in orphanages and placement centers, children in refugee camps, families in disaster areas, and perhaps even families in our own communities facing issues such as house fires.
