Women in Control of Their Own Bodies

Guests and Shero/Heroes:
Jimmy Radosta: Communications and Marketing Director for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon

Judith Arcana: Writer, and a Jane, a feminist underground underground service that helped more 11,000 women and girls have safe abortions in Chicago before the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Decision

Ynanna Djehuty: Doula, Midwife, leader in the fight and amplification for women of color's history and reproductive justice.

Imagine a world where women grew up in a world where they had the security and access to reproductive health. Access to sexual health education where we learned to love our bodies, preventive health services to abortion. Imagine a world where girls can grow up into adulthood with the security of all aspects of reproductive health (from sexual health education to preventive health services to abortion) are an essential part of health care. Let's imagine a time when the political battle over the control of women's bodies disappears because women's lives are understood to be the backbone of families, communities and the economy. Well, our imagination can become reality. This trust in women - particularly those whose lives are most impacted by barriers to access and care - is dangerously at risk.
