Since I first heard her, Grace Slick has been among my most favorite vocalists. Her vocal range was astounding, from clear delicate whisper to sustained and soaring cries and made her name virtually synonymous with that of her second band, Jefferson Airplane.  Yes, second

The Airplane sought her specifically because of her work with The Great! Society.

live music and other guests

Things are still a little up in the air with today's show. But, there is a very strong possibility that local band Shores of Astor will be coming by the studio to perform for us. And, rumor has it, that a really fun hokum band visiting from The Bay Area, the Sour Mash Hug Band, who will be performing with Saloon Ensemble on Tuesday night at The White Eagle, will come by as well to either perform or help cohost the show. So join Fortunato, Captain Jon, and The All Hearing Ear  as we try once again to systematize chaos.
