Nick Jaina returns with his boys, OK? and they're not fucking around.

NICK JAINA goes back to lil ol' KBOO, where he has been playing live on The Outside World over the last 20 years (!) PRE-Binary Dolls era..
His newest work PRIMARY PERCEPTION (coming out soon on FLUFF & GRAVY- the local family-run label run by the wild children known as Aryana, Jarvi, Cash and Maybelle and their willing parents Jennifer, John, Chad and Juniana) is being received enthusiastically by the press and media, and he will be playing his CD release next week around the corner from KBOO studios, at the DRUG FIR. Nick likes playing there. Maybe you will go.

Arhoolie Records Special

From its humble beginnings in 1960 with one microphone and a reel to reel tape recorder, Arhoolie Records became the premier American roots music label. With this year’s release of “They All Played For Us: Arhoolie Records' 50th Anniversary Celebration “- Book and 4 CD set, we decided to do an Arhoolie retrospective.
Join me, Phil G, with my co-host, Alicia Olson, as we play selections from Arhoolie’s catalog, interview founder Chris Strachwitz, and also the musicians from BeauSoleil, who did early recordings on Arhoolie.

7:00pm - 10:00pm
Hosted by: Celeste Carey
Music of the African diaspora by Black Artists...Worldwide
