Lyn and Ani talk with mythological scholar Micheal Meade

The events of the last week have us thinking deeply about things ... how does tragedy shape of perception of fear? Is it fear ... is it dread? What is needed to help reshape this culture from one of violence, greed and fear, to something more co-operative, imaginative and peaceful. This week we are fortunate to have renowned storyteller, author, and scholar of mythology, anthropology, and psychology Micheal Meade to help us grope with these timely and provacative questions. Micheal is the founder of Mosaic Multicultural Foundation, a group that works extensively with at risk youth and veterans. So, tune in or stream us for a "soul inoculation".

The Nonpocalypse exposed.

Friday is the 2012 Winter Solstice.  There's been years of sensational hype about the date, much based on the Mayan Long Count Calendar cycle and some supposed apocalypse.

But the claims are based on bad archaeology, bad astronomy and bad geology.

Andrew Geller will speak with Kristine Larsen, professor of physics and astronomy at Central Connecticut State University, to debunk the astronomical and physical sciences claims.

Possibly the last ever show on KBOO.

Tommy Hollywood and I, your humble Despair Coordinator Rich L. will be on hand to help grease the skids for the coming of Quetzlcotel, Meloncholia, whatever....

With perhaps a smattering of Christmas/Saturnalia/Festivus/Chrimbus...

Who knows? This possibly could be the last ever show on KBOO.
