This is Paula with the KBOO Community Calendar for Tuesday, July 20th 2010.
Tonight at 6:30 pm is storytime, Family Storytime that is, at the Hillsboro Main Library – 2850 NE Brookwood Parkway, Hillsboro.
Picture books are read to the group interspersed with fingerplays and other activities. Lasts 30-45 minutes. We start with very simple stories and finish with more complex ones to appeal to the whole family.
This family fun event takes place every Tuesday this Summer.

Also tonight at 6:30 pm, join Portland By Cycle: MUP-It Ride.
Multi-Use Paths are as friendly as Sesame Street - and we might see a big bird! Meet at Lents Park, SE Steele at 89th Avenue . Helmets required. Water is suggested.
And tonight at 7 pm is Walking the History at Your Feet with Laura Foster as part of the Spoken Word Series at Walters Cultural Arts Center 527 E Main Street Hillsboro, OR 97124.
Get your summer outdoor activity and history fix all in one with this talk about walking through the metro area's hidden history treasures with Laura Foster.
Laura is the author of the popular books, Walk There (www.oregonmetro.gov), Portland Hill Walks and Portland City Walks. Her talk and slide show make Oregon's history come alive.
For this edition of Spoken Word, a series held every 3rd Tuesday of the month, come and be inspired as Laura shares some of her favorite quirky, offbeat sites and little-told topics in and around Portland.
Tomorrow night at 8 pm, be ready to share and/or hear “everything from music and poetry to monologues” at the weekly open mic at the Alberta Street Pub, located at 1036 NE Alberta Street in Portland. Hosted by Tamara J. Brown, this 21 and over event has a sign-up at 7:30 pm sharp.
