Come to “Telling Our Stories:: A Queer Writing Workshop”, a dynamic writing experience designed especially to nurture LGBTQ folks who don’t consider themselves writers. Its this Saturday at 6:30 at In Other Words Bookstore, 8B NE Killingsworth street in Portland. Theres a suggested donation of ten to thirty bucks with no one turned away for lack of funds. The Shine or Shine Fest is this Saturday from 12-8pm at 5233 SE 39th Ave. This event is free and all ages and will feature fantastic summertime drinks, bodacious BBQ, and the sunshiny musings of many bands!

This Sunday is the East Portland Sunday Parkway from 10am to 3pm. The car-free route will have a 4 and a half mile loop, connecting Ed Benedict, Bloomington and Lents Parks. Food, music and activities are located in the parks and along the route. head to portland online.com for details.
