Tomorrow night at 6 pm is Poetry Open Mic Night, located at Ledding Library Pond House – 2215 SE Harrison Street, Milwaukie.

This open mic night takes place on the last Wednesday of every month.

Also tomorrow night at 6 pm, enjoy the closing reception and awards ceremony for the sixth annual HYAC Youth Art Exhibition at Walters Cultural Arts Center 527 E Main Street Hillsboro, OR 97124.

Come revel in the young talent of Hillsboro as the Cultural Arts Center and the Mayor's Hillsboro Youth Advisory Council present the sixth annual HYAC Youth Art Exhibition.  The exhibition is the result of an art contest open to all Hillsboro area high school age youth working in 2D and 3D media, as well as photography.

Also tomorrow night at 8 pm, be ready to share and/or hear “everything from music and poetry to monologues” at the weekly open mic at the Alberta Street Pub, located at 1036 NE Alberta Street in Portland. Hosted by Tamara J. Brown, this 21 and over event has a sign-up at 7:30 pm sharp.

Coming up on Tuesday, May 4^th at 6 pm, enjoy an opening reception for artists  Fred Cooper, David Kerr, John Mathis and Jan Madill at Walters Cultural Arts Center 527 E Main Street Hillsboro, OR 97124.

This First Tuesday reception will feature the MIR Student Recital!  Come enjoy an evening of music performed by students from MIR Music.  The performances will include works on piano, guitar, violin, cello, trumpet & saxophone.

Coming up on Wednesday, May 5^th at 7 pm, join the Cascade Blues Association, for its monthly general membership meeting, at the Melody Ballroom, located at 615 SE Alder Street in Portland.

The Bluo, a Blues duo, will perform the opening acoustic set, while Billy D. & The Hoodoos will perform the second electric set. All ages are welcome.
