Stop Liquified Natural Gas!  If you're passionate about LNG developments in Oregon, there are still two more town hall meetings you can attend: today at 1pm in Astoria and tomorrow at 9am in Portland. DEQ has taken a strong stance against the Oregon LNG Bradwood Landing proposal and there is a new bill sponsored by Sens. Wyden, Merkley, and Cantwell to give more power back to the states.
The DEQ is addressing misconduct and the FERC Administrative Law Judge has established fact finding proceedings (Public Notice on LNG).  Have your voice heard.  That's today at 1pm in Astoria at the Clatsop County Courthouse, Judge Guy Boyington Building, 820 Exchange Street. A large coalition has joined with the Social and Environmental Justice Club, Black Student Union an NW Student Coalition for a three-day event on
Political Prisoners, Political Repression and the Prison Industrial Complex:  "Freedom of Speech Now!" From 11am to 2pm today and tomroow be at Washington State University campus in Vancouver to the Firstenburg Commons.  email social.environtmental.justice@gmail.com.              Mount Hood Community College is also hosting a "Freedom of Speech Now!" event at the MHCC Jazz Cafe today from 4 to 7pm, with musical performance by Nahoko and speeches by former political prisoners such as Ashanti Alston, Darrelle Dino Butler, Kent Ford and Jeffrey Luers.  Similar events will be held today, tomorrow and Friday at Mount Hood Community College, Washington State University and Portland State University.  Check out  the website at www DOT northweststudentcoalition DOT net
