Come hear talented musicians Kate Beeman and Elliot King play to raise funds for Portland's non-profit Teras Interventions and Counseling, TONIGHT, from 9 – 11:00 pm.  This benefit show AND BAKE Sale will be held at the Laughing Horse Book Store, located at 12 ne 10th ave, Portland.  There is a suggested donation at the door, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The Center for Social and Environmental Justice’s  Spring 2010 Conference on Community Health, Well-Being and Equity will be held THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 27th from March 27 from 8:45 am to 4:30 pm at Washington State University , Vancouver Washington.  This conference includes lots of panels including topics such as:  The State of Equity in greater Vancouver/Portland Metropolitan Area Racial Profiling, Targeting and Detention of Immigrants,  Health Care Reform, Supporting Housing for the Homeless Through Faith-based Networks, Implementing Equity Strategies in County and City Governments and so much more. It is that time of year again when the trilliums are blooming and the Friends of Tryon Creek State Park are celebrating spring.  Volunteers are needed at Trillium Festival on April 10th & 11th, doing things like selling native plants, carrying plants to cars, directing traffic and parking, running children’s activity stations, and more.
