Springtime Greetings! This is Natalie presenting the KBOO Community Calendar for the weekend of April 25th and 26th. Information is also repeated at the KBOO.fm website.

This Saturday, you are invited to Bowl for Equality at the Human Rights Campaign annual outreach event. Rock-it-Bowl begins at 6:30pm at the Hollywood Bowl on 4030 NE Halsey Street.  For information and tickets, roll over to the website at http://portland.hrc.org.

The Rock N Roll Camp For Girls kicks off its season this Saturday night 8pm-1am with a benefit party including karaoke, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, prizes and more. Anyone 21 and over is welcome and donations will be accepted at the Rock Camp door, located at 8900A NE Vancouver Way. More information is available at www.girlsrockcamp.org.

Tickets for next weekend’s Breast Friends Joy of Life dinner-dance-auction are available through this Monday. Proceeds benefit this non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for breast cancer patient. You can check out the website at www.breastfriends.com.

Portland Community College Rock Creek Campus continues Earth Day festivities on Saturday and will also host “Semana de la Raza” (“Week of the People”) from April 27th to May 1st. This celebration of Latino culture and heritage will feature a film on Monday, Latin Beats on Wednesday, as well as exhibitions of books and art. Esta celebracion de cultura Latina incluye una pelicula el lunes, musica el miercoles, y tambien exposiciones de libros y arte.
