At 7pm this evening the Portland Downtown Neighborhood Association will be holding an ecodistict meeting. The meeting will
discuss neighborhood participation in the creation of a low environmental impact downtown area. PSU and the Portland and Oregon Sustainability Institute have been working on research and development of the transformation of Portland Downtown into an ecodistrict, district or neighborhood that is resource efficient. The meeting takes place at Loaves and Fishes, located at 1032 SW Main St. The entrance is on 11th St.

What is Cultural Appropriation? is the title of tonight's workshop discussion from the educational project, Setting the Record Straight, which is a study group focusing on anti-colonial struggles, deconstructing white and settler privilege, and the impulse for justice for indigenous peoples in past and present revolutionary theory and action. They meet every two weeks and watch relevant films, read excerpts from books, and discuss the roles of our diverse communities and ourselves as individuals in achieving a lasting and true justice for indigenous peoples in our area and around the world.
