Poisoned waters: Cascadia's coast and rivers are dying of consumption...while we turn forests into coal

PGE's PR department has had a busy week - and it's only Tuesday.  By Friday we'll be seeing solar come shining through.  But this is about Boardman.  The story goes that Portland General Eelctric will take coal off the table by 2020 if regulators keep the rules bent and the pollution flowing down the Gorge.  And when the coal is "phased out", the power company will convert the plant to biomass or natural gas, two other bad ideas from the songbook of environmental crash and burn.  Right.  Or perhaps we can clone dinosaurs, kill them off,  put heavy articles on top of them...And Presto!  More oil...
