The Mount Tabor Theater is hosting "Food Jam" '09 every weekend in December. A celebration of music and community - A Food drive and an art raffle to benefit the Oregon Food Bank. Bring your canned food and your open heart to any show on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday this month. Mt. Tabor Theatre is located at 4811 SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland. Are you concerned about vulnerable seniors and adults with disabilities in your community? Do you have public contact experience, enjoy doing community presentations or public speaking, and have a 5-10 hours per month available to volunteer in ? If you answered YES to any of these questions then you may be a candidate to volunteer with the Gatekeeper program! You will receive: program information, confidentiality training, a training manual and presentation outline. You will then be going out to Portland businesses or to your place of work to train employees who have contact with the public about the Gatekeeper program and the importance of identifying their elderly/disabled customers who may be vulnerable and in need of help. PSU Progressive Student Union PSU Progressive Student Union has weekly organizing meetings to work on Transit Rider Union projects against TriMet's ongoing service cutbacks to Fareless Square, bus and MAX routes, and to overturn the TriMet board of directors currently being appointed (by Oregon's governor) not elected.
