KBOO COMMUNITY CALENDAR TUESDAY October 27th 2009

This is Paula with the KBOO Community Calendar for Tuesday, October 27th 2009.

Today at 5 pm is the Dedication and Grand Opening Celebration of Simon and Helen Director Park. Director Park is located between SW Park and SW 9th to the east and west, SW Taylor and SW Yamhill to the south and north. The public is invited to join in the celebration with music and dance.

Coming up on Tuesday, November 3rd at 6 pm is the Opening Reception  for artists, Tatiana Gorbacheva, Momoko Sanderson and Sandy Bass at Walters Cultural Arts Center 527 E Main Street Hillsboro, OR 97124.

 

On Tuesday, November 10th at 7 pm is the Open Poetry Reading in the Gallery at Walters Cultural Arts Center 527 E Main Street Hillsboro, OR 97124.

Poets and lovers of poetry alike will enjoy these evenings of readings in the gallery. Readers and listeners are welcome to enjoy works by established or yet to be discovered talent. A sign-up sheet is available, so please arrive early.

 

And on Tuesday, November 17th at 7 pm is Storytelling with Anne Penfound at Walters Cultural Arts Center 527 E Main Street Hillsboro, OR 97124.

A native of the British Isles, Anne Penfound inspires inquiry and exploration as she shares world folk tales from the oral tradition.  Audiences are invited to participate in the telling of these delightfully sweet and sour stories, which communicate history, diverse culture and life's lessons.
