Program name:
Dawnbreaker's Breakdown
Air date:

This was our first Dawnbreaker's Breakdown show.  Thanks for checking us out.  This is raw from my old Word files so excuse the typos and misspellings.

Hedy West died in July 2005.  She wrote and arranged "500 Miles" but the song she did that I hear most is Henry's arrangement of "Little Sadie".  Henry chose four of her songs to note her passing including "Little Sadie".

Hawaiian War Chant – Bob Brozman

When the Saints Go Marching In – Madison’s Lively Stones

Banjoreno – Dixieland Jug Band (Rucker’s Juice and Chittlins’)

What Makes My Baby Cry – Five Harmonies

Jesse James – Sid Hemphill Band – Travlin’ Through the Jungle, Fife & Drum of the Deep South

Bagalooza Boogie – Clifton Chenier

Tucker’s Barn – Doc Watson,  Gaither Carlton

Little Sadie – Hedy West

No Depression in Heaven – Carter Family

Station Break – Turn Your Radio On – John Hartford

She Sang Hymns Out of Tune – Dillards

French Waltz – Bob Fletcher

Freight Train Blues – Daniel Adams

Texas Rangers – Hedy West

I Don’t Wanna Be Rich – Sam Hinton

Slow Train – Flanders and Swan

Brownie Special – Milton Brown

Detroit City – Flatt and Scruggs

Old Guitar – Mary Flower

He Was a Friend of Mine – Dave Van Ronk

Midnight on the Water – Benny Thomasson (His father, Luke Thomasson, wrote the tune)

Port Arthur Waltz – Henry Choates

Chanson Pour Ezra (Song For Ezra) – Michael Ducet

Linquist Grave – Hedy West

Beau Lampkin – Hedy West

Papa’s On the Housetop – Leroy Carr

Hedy West's Beau Lampkin

I have tried for the longest time to replace my "Beau Lampkin" record... Really enjoyed Hedy West during my uni days in the Sixties...helped me study through the night.
Can anyone help with lyrics to Beau Lampkin?
