In Portland, a tiny band of cartoonists believed there should be a platform for artists to connect with their communities; a concept not addressed at the traditional conventions. 10 years ago, the first Stumptown Comics Fest broke the mold and placed Portland at the heart of the burgeoning comics scene.
Join guest host, Paula Small, as she welcomes Aaron Duran, Communications Chair of Stumptown Comics, the arts non-profit responsible for Stumptown Comics Fest. They will discuss the 10-year anniversary of the upcoming Comics Fest, as well as Stumptown Comics mission to increase arts education and reach communities through comics.
