World Beat Connection on 04/04/13
With roots going back to the 1920's and drawing from a number of sources, Highlife was a prominent style of music for over 60 years in the English speaking countries of West Africa. Even though found in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria, it was primarily a Ghanian creation .As part of KBOO's spring membership drive join DJ Charlie, host of the World Beat Connection, on April 4th from noon until 2pm and enjoy 2 hours of great Ghanian Highlife.
