APA Compass on 02/01/13
Today's APA Compass program features
* The Race Monologues of six Lewis and Clark students: Camille Christie, Raymond Fenton, Jasmine Graze, David Jenkins, Guadalupe Triana, and Tony Zamora
* Comedian Baratunde Thurston on technology, race, and politics
* Arizona State professor Merlyna Lim on how minority voices use social media to organize
Thanks very much to our friends at Lewis and Clark College, who brought all of today's guests and many more together for the excellent Ray Warren Multicultural Symposium. The symposium seeks to increase awareness of cultural and ethnic issues, and is organized annually by students and the Ethnic Studies program.
APA Compass promotes social justice, features APA arts and culture, and challenges how APAs are represented in the media. You can download podcasts of our program at kboo.fm/ApaCompass.
