Walmart Workers Protest on Black Friday

Black Friday started Thursday night at a Southeast Portland Walmart and activists were out to advocate for fair labor and wage practices.

The Oregonian reports that Police arrested one protester at the store as shoppers streamed in looking for deals.

Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson said that the officers were there to ensure a safe environment for people to shop and will remain on site until the Occupy-related protest subsides.
