Myrna Arely Muñoz has been a teacher on the West coast for 17 years. She has proudly served our nation with her teaching baring a strong equity lens that has created multicultural alliances that have lasted beyond the elementary school years that she teaches. Myrna advocates for student voices consistently, fights for social justice topics to grow in schools, and helps inform Oregon at every bend of the needs of the community where she comes from to close the opportunity gap and create educational outcomes we can all be proud of. Currently, she is a literacy coach for Portland Public Schools working toward implementing their new equity-based instructional framework for literacy. She also teaches as an adjunct instructor at PSU and is excited to be with the amazing KBOO community in their upcoming meeting!
