Rise of a New Racial Stereotype: The Homicidal Asian Male College Student

program date:

 Hosted by Lisa Loving

Today -- have laws put into place after the Virginia Tech massacre created a new racial stereotype -- of the armed Asian male college student?

Our guest is Henry Liu, who'll be talking about on his experience being branded as armed and dangerous by the Portland State University security department in April -- and the Orwellian situation where he and his family are now trapped.

What if out of the blue, on the word of one witness, a swat team showed up at your apartment in the middle of the night, took you to the psych ward and left you there for days, forced to prove that you aren't insane? Then upon your release, you find out your university has plastered posters with your name on them all over the school and the internet, implying that you are a homicidal maniac? How do you get your life back?
