An eclectic mix of African sounds.... The first half hour featured Cameroon's Francis Bebey. We also previewed songs from new releases by kora player Sean Gaskell (Seattle) and Portland's Njuzu Mbira --who will be appearing together this Friday, June 29th at the Tabor Theater Lounge,4811 SE Hawthorne. Then we heard a track from the new release of Zimbabwean mbira master Musekiwa Chingodza, who will be performing at Mississippi Pizza next Tuesday, July 3.
