Oregon State Representatives on Basic Health, an option under the federal Affordable Care A
Health and Health Care Forum
Host Roberta Hall speaks with Oregon State Representative Mitch Greenlick, Chair of the House Healthcare Committee, (pictured above), and Representative Jim Thompson, Vice-Chair of the Committee, (pictured below), about Basic Health, an optional provision of the federal Affordable Care Act, that the Legislature is currently considering. After a study and approval, Basic Health would provide affordable health insurance for two groups currently not covered: people who earn between 138 and 200% of the poverty level, and low-income legal immigrants with less than 5 years residence in the U.S.
