The Eavesdrop on 10/20/11
Afros, braids, locks ... au naturel comes in many forms. But do those forms have a "place" in the workplace?
The question of "acceptable" hair in the workplace has been a controversial challenge for employees and employers alike.
The battle to determine if natural hairstyles promote culture, fashion or both has jumped from boardroom to courtroom.
TONIGHT at 7 pm on The Eavesdrop, the ladies of the Kitchen Table Collective will take a look at this barrier-to-entry Black community members face, in the workplace, as always with real conversation for real people.
Listen in and hear the hosts explore the controversial topic of natural hair in the workplace and what it means for our community and society. Better yet, JOIN us in the conversation by calling (503) 231-8187 and share YOUR views about this topic.
