Short Description:
Jerry Lewis looks back to when he and Dean Martin were the biggest act ever in show business

In light of the recent, abrupt dismissal of long time host Jerry Lewis from the Labor Day MDA Telethon, Fortunato reads excerpts from Dean and Me a Love Story by Jerry Lewis and James Cablin. A look back at the amazing career of the greatest comedy team ever, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. How it happened, what they did, and who they met.

An improvised pairing of struggling young comic Jerry Lewis and the slightly more established young singer Dean Martin one summer night, in 1946, at a night club in Atlantic City, sparks the biggest show business phenomenon ever seen. Practically overnight the comic team Martin and Lewis are playing to sellout performances everywhere. By 1950 they are appearing on stage, radio, television, comic books and movies! And in some instances all at the same time! A great look at the entertainment world of post World War II America and the two performers who helped the country rediscover its sense of humor.
