Iran Releases British Captives

Iran has agreed to release 15 British navy members, ending a diplomatic crisis that had political tensions rising.

The release coincides with the return of the of Iran's second secretary to of Embassy in Iraq, who was kidnapped in February. Iran’s news agency has accused Iraqi security forces of the kidnapping.

Portland resident Doctor Katherine Thomason recently returned from a delegation to Iran with the Fellowship of Reconciliation. She spoke to KBOO News Director Jenka Soderberg.
