Mondragon and economic democracy, the politics of community radio, Nietzsche and Neoliberalism

Iven Hale hosts the next episode of the Old Mole and we hear:

  • Bill Resnick talks with George Cheney about the Mondragon network of cooperative-businesses based in Spain with facilities around the globe. They discuss the extent to which workers really have a chance for democratic participation in their firms and what Mondragon might suggest about reorganizing the economy.
  • Paul Roland shares excerpts from a previously aired discussion about the politics of community radio with Norm Stockwell of WROT in Madison with additional comments.
  • Clayton Morgareidge brings us the Well-read Red, drawing on Corey Robin's recent article for The Nation, about Nietzsche and Austrian economics, to interrogate the anti-democratic ideology of neoliberalism.
  • Tom Becker reads from the Left Press.
