Tune in to KBOO tonight (MON) from 8:00 to 10:00 PM for an in-depth exploration of the music and busy career of violinist/composer/vocalist CARLA KIHLSTEDT

Join us as we listen to the many musical settings this diverse classically-trained artist has found herself in-her many projects have led her to a style of composition that is now largely based on literary texts, including Polish-Jewish artist Bruno Schulz, Humphrey Jennings' Pandaemonium-The Coming of The Machine 1660-1886, Luis Borges' Tales of Imaginary Creatures and her newest endeavor (w/Tin Hat): music to surround the poems of e. e. cummings.

Ms. Kihlstedt will be in Portland this week debuting (w/Tin Hat at The Mission Theatre, Thursday, May 19, 8 pm) their new songs from the e. e. cummings project and will visit us in the KBOO studios as our special guest!
