On Thursday, January 20,Tillicum Wawa interviewed Dr. Dale Walker and Michelle Singer from the

One Sky Center

, a Native American health care organization that works with tribes throughout the United States in order to improve health care, mental and physical, in Indian country. Dale Walker is also president of the

Association of American Indian Physicians

. We talked about the One Sky Center, health care disparities, the politics of health care, looking at health care from a whole instead of as an individual, suicide, etc.

 

Shusli had the idea to do health care segments on Tillicum Wawa for the Native communities, and this show was our first opportunity.
