Welcome to the Pickathon!
KBOO has been proud to co-sponsor over ten years of the Portland Pickathon, now one of the biggest and best of all West Coast music festivals. There is now an official "Pickathon" sound, among the hundreds of artists and bands that have dazzled thousands of people every summer. Zale Schoenborn, the creator and producer of the Pickathon, will be our special guest on Saturday morning, with Rachel and Justin from "Music From the True Vine." Larry Gillis, Jackstraw, the Foghorn String Band, the Hackensaw Boys, and many more will be featured. This is a great chance for you to hear two hours of fantastic live music from the festival itself, and why so many wonderful musicians and bands have come to Oregon for this festival. We also have a one-time offer of the "Best of Pickathon" CDs as thank-you-gifts when you phone in your pledge to KBOO radio during our winter membership drive.
