Reverend Jesse Jackson is hosting a news conference in response to the shooting death of Aaron Campbell by Portland police. He will speak at 6pm at the Maranatha Church Fellowship Hall, the entrance on NE Skidmore between NE 12th and 13th Avenue. Following the news conference, Reverend Jackson will speak at a public rally organized by the Albina Ministerial Alliance Coalition for Justice and Police Reform. For more information, call Dr. T. Huber's Restaurant on 411 SW 3rd Avenue will be donating 50 percent of sales to
FolkTime, a program providing support for Portland and Clackamas residents with mental illnesses. Huber's is featuring a New Orleans cuisine for the Fat Tuesday occasion. FolkTime runs consumer drop-in centers without government assistance or Medicaid payment. More information can be found at www dot folktime dot org.

Blackrose Collective Books at 4038 N. Mississippi is holding an anarchist discussion group from 7 to 9pm. This is a self-led, free-form group, talking about whatever people wanna talk about. Bring ideas, bring articles, and bring cookies! Anarchist discussions meet every first and third Tuesday.
